The Ibis Bakery & Messenger Coffee CO
🥐 Nestled in the heart of downtown Kansas City, the Ibis Bakery is a charming, cozy spot that invites you in with the warm aroma of freshly baked goods. The Ibis is a shared bakery with the Messenger Coffee Co. Inside there are three levels of seating. When you walk in on the main floor you see the counter with all the pastries and bread displayed and the Messenger Coffee! This floor also has the whole kitchen for the bakery displayed so you can sit and watch them make all the delicious treats while waiting for your pastries/coffee or enjoying them! The second floor has a bunch more comfy seating and cozy spots to sit and study or chat! The third floor is the rooftop seating with a beautiful view of the entire downtown of KC! The entire building has a cozy homy feel and is a great place for studying, family gatherings, or just to hang out!
🍪 When I stopped by Ibis, I got a rich cup of hot chocolate, a flaky croissant, and a fresh loaf of their signature bread. My favorite thing I got there was the chocolate croissant! The croissant was so flaky and buttery! By far one of the best croissants I have ever had! The next thing I had was the hot chocolate. The hot chocolate was huge! It was very rich, I thought it was almost a little bit to rich for me! Still delicious though! Finally I tried their jalapeño cheddar bread slipper! This was amazing! The bread was so soft and the crust was perfectly toast! The jalapeños were spicy but the cheese evened it out a lot! This was my favorite thing I got there! Unfortunately, I did not try the Messenger but from all the reviews it sounds amazing and will definitely be trying on my next visit! Overall I love this bakery and 100% suggest to try it! The staff was super nice and helpful and everything was absolutely amazing! I will definitely be going back!
